Emerging Markets Consultants is an IT Security company that provides a wide range of security solutions and services to protect and secure companies by providing IT support and consulting, and developing software business solutions.
As CEO of the company, my OKRs included business growth, customer acquisition, product development, and consulting in the segment of B2B and B2C.
The task ahead of me and the team I was leading was demanding. My previous knowledge of information security solutions was low at that time, so my approach implicated that first I had to discover and learn about security to understand the market needs and to develop a strategy and business in order to achieve company goals.
In the first two months of learning about the company’s portfolio, solutions, and services, I was able to independently lead meetings with potential customers to provide a consultancy and forecast the offers.
In the next two months of working for EMC, considering the situation with COVID-19, and the hard time conducting the meetings with the clients, I organized and implemented over 37 meetings with new clients.
I also conducted and implemented the following:
- The hiring of two professionals: sales administrator, and network security engineer
- Customer success management, evaluating and analyzing customer needs to ensure that we offer the best quality of service
- Conduct customer retention and increase the share of wallet with existing clients
- Encourages Customers to Upgrade their Products
- Develop a comprehensive business sales plan
- Bring two new projects into the company in the segment of cyber security and cyber security awareness education
- Mentor and interact with members of staff at all levels to foster growth and encourage the business development
- Market research to identify trends and target customers’ preferences
- KPIs and OKRs on a company level
Even though I’m not working at EMC anymore, I am very grateful and proud of myself for what I have achieved in such a short time. The lessons that I have learned and knowledge will follow my way in my further carrier.
